Building a concrete fence.

Description

If you look here I was trying to build a concrete fence along a curved path [link]

Depending on what result you want, a modifier stack may work.
But I was not satisfied with the result.
So I decided to build the fence manually.

I highlighted a fence element (orange). I like the system I put in place; it may require a little patience (building the complete fence took ~ 2 hours not counting experimentation) :

- The base of the fence sticks to the ground using shrinkwrap + vertex group. All vertices at the base belong to the 'base' group, projected vertically on the ground (ofc the ground isn't flat)
- On the inside, a kind of vertical zip in the center of the concrete element helps adjusting the height as I want the height of the fence to be somewhat regular. Meaning, the bottom of the zip should be just above the path.

So, duplicate elements and arrange them in top view first (Alt+D so you can modify all fence elements later if needed) then I used the gizmo to slide each element to correct height. Slow but smooth.

Of course it's not *very* accurate. But, I think it's accurate enough and I could see myself putting up a real fence this way. Well, I couldn't lift the concrete blocks although they are pretty thin...

Yea I guess I could script it but, if I did I'd write a system to build procedural roads and such, not a fence.
