Visual concept

I refer to each level as a "hack". Here I worked on a concept that I wanted to develop visually for a long time 'the light corridor'. Of course I started white on black but this didn't work very well as the character tended to merge with the background.

Visual design is minimal as I wanted to get a hack through the production loop as fast as possible to understand the cost.

This is the interactive equivalent of an animated GIF in that it works a lot better with motion and sound. Oh wait should I do an animated GIF? SIGH.

About this hack

Preparing the scene took 3-5 hours, then I realised I needed sound, transitions and other bits and bobs, which ended keeping me busy for another few hours.

About the project

This project is in line with my previous work as I've been hard at work on designing workflows allowing weekly/bi-weekly releases. The general idea is that 99% of the code is already done so that most of the time is spent producing content. Even so, the 1% remaining (of code) can easily consume a few hours depending on the design.

Yes, this is a very short scene and it's not especially interactive. I actually disabled some of the navigation features because this is an introductory scene. I focused on the concept that I was trying to develop, not showcasing game features.

Looking for guest artists

I am HOT on having guest artists contribute to this project as I cannot spend more than 2-3 days per hack and contributions could really enliven this work.

- You can produce either a 2D concept or a 3D model within 15 minute to half an hour (TL upload preferred).
- You can work with minimal artistic direction (a video showing 10-11 drafted levels will be provided).
- You are willing to advertise the result to your watchers.
- I are happy to have your concept featured on my DA page, team tumblr etc...

Note: Patreon is a bit similar to Kickstarter and Indiegogo in that it allows users to donate small amounts. The big differences are - 1: users on Patreon donate AFTER a small piece of work has been released - 2: Patreon works as a kind of monthly subscription (but you can cancel at any time)
